VILDMARKSRACET 2022 – Svezia
Il team sta tornando a casa dopo la vildmarkrace 2022 in Nornas, Dalarna.
I cani hanno lavorato molto bene, sono stati costanti e sempre concentrati. Arrivati al check point dopo 70 km, il maltempo e alcune mie difficoltà fisiche ci hanno fatto prendere la decisione di non riprendere il cammino della seconda tappa, nonostante i Cani avessero desiderio di correre già dopo un’ora di riposo.
Questa corsa ci ha aperto gli occhi su alcune strategie da cambiare radicalmente in allenamento, ma ci ha anche regalato momenti in cui abbiamo visto quanto i nostri cani siano equilibrati e potenti sia nel fisico che nella mente .
Ovviamente non è un punto di arrivo, ma di partenza per tutti noi.
Dobbiamo come sempre ringraziare Christer, Kristine e Katarina dell’allevamento Noatak per l’ospitalità, ma soprattutto per i consigli precisi e puntuali sull’allenamento e su come lavorare su noi stessi per valorizzare al meglio i nostri cani.
Ringraziamo anche chi ci ha supportato a distanza. Noi non siamo social e chi ci conosce bene lo ha capito da un pezzo. Lo sleddog per noi è fondamentale strumento di selezione dell’alaskan malamute, ma anche momento intimo di riflessione personale su come stiamo lavorando e su come crescere come musher, allevatori e persone.
I nostri complimenti a tutti i musher presenti e naturalmente a tutti i loro cani.
Ora siamo sulla via del ritorno, per quanto sia incantevole la Svezia desideriamo riunirci al più presto con gli altri cani che sono rimasti a casa, in ottime mani ovviamente, quelle di Laura, Jessica e Andrea a cui vanno i nostri più sentiti ringraziamenti.

The team is coming back home after the 2022 vildmarkrace in Nornas, Dalarna. The dogs worked very well, they were consistent and always focused.
At the check point after 70 km, bad weather and some of my physical difficulties made us decide not to restart the journey of the second stage, despite the fact that the dogs wanted to run after an hour of rest.
This run has opened our eyes to some strategies to radically change in training, but it has also given us moments in which we have seen how balanced and powerful our dogs are both physically and in mind.
Obviously it is not a point of arrival, but a starting point for all of us.
As always, we have to thank Christer Afséer, Kristin Esseth and Katarina Esseth Afséer of the Noatak kennel for their hospitality, but above all for the precise and precious advice on training and on how to work on ourselves to make the best for our dogs.
We also thank those who supported us. We are not social and those who know us well, have understood this.
Dog sledding for us is a fundamental tool for selection alaskan malamute, but also an intimate moment of personal reflection on how we are working and how to grow as musher, breeders and humans.
Our compliments to all mushers on the race and of course to all their dogs.
Now we are on our way back, as lovely as Sweden is, we would like to reunite as soon as possible with the other dogs who have stayed at home, in good hands of course, those of Laura, Jessica and Andrea that have our big thanks.
